Trend Discovery is TubeAnalytics' content intelligence module that identifies emerging topics in your niche before they peak. The platform analyzes search trends, rising keywords, and viral content patterns to surface opportunities while they're still early. Timing matters: based on TubeAnalytics platform data, videos published during a trend's early rise earn 40–60% more views on average than those published at peak.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about TubeAnalytics features and how they work.
- How does TubeAnalytics connect to my YouTube channel?
- TubeAnalytics connects via Google's official YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API using read-only OAuth access. We never request posting permissions. You authorize access through your Google account and can revoke it at any time from your Google security settings.
- How does the AI thumbnail testing work?
- You upload 2–4 thumbnail variants and our AI analyzes each one across multiple dimensions: face detection and expression, text readability at small sizes (including mobile), color contrast, composition balance, and visual hierarchy. Each thumbnail receives a predicted CTR score based on patterns learned from millions of YouTube thumbnails. This happens before you publish, so you're not burning real impressions on a weaker thumbnail.
- Can I track YouTube Shorts with TubeAnalytics?
- Yes. TubeAnalytics tracks all video types including YouTube Shorts, long-form videos, live streams, and premieres. Shorts analytics are displayed separately with Shorts-specific metrics including swipe-away rate and loop count where available from the YouTube API.
- How is revenue data calculated? Is it exact?
- Revenue data is pulled directly from the YouTube Analytics API, which is the same data source YouTube Studio uses. CPM, RPM, and estimated revenue figures match what you see in YouTube Studio. TubeAnalytics adds geographic breakdowns, ad type analysis, and revenue forecasting on top of this base data.
- How many competitor channels can I track?
- The number depends on your plan: Starter allows 5 competitor channels, Professional allows 10, and Enterprise allows up to 20 simultaneous competitor channels. Competitor data is updated weekly and includes upload cadence, view trends, engagement benchmarks, and content topic analysis.
- How much does TubeAnalytics cost?
- Plans start at $19/month for the Starter plan, which includes 1 channel, 90-day data history, and core analytics. The Professional plan is $49/month (3 channels, 1-year history, AI thumbnail testing, competitor tracking). Enterprise is $149/month (5 channels, white-label reports, API access, 5-year data retention).
- How much historical data can I access?
- Historical data availability depends on your plan. Starter plans include 90 days of history, Professional plans include 1 year, and Enterprise plans include up to 5 years. Note that the YouTube API limits how far back we can retrieve historical analytics — we can import your available history when you first connect your channel.
- Does TubeAnalytics work for channels outside the US?
- Yes. TubeAnalytics supports channels in all countries and all languages supported by YouTube. Revenue, CPM, and audience data are all localized. The platform interface is available in English, with additional language support in progress.
- What does 'view velocity' mean?
- View velocity is the rate at which a video accumulates views over time, measured in intervals (hourly for the first 48 hours, then daily). A high view velocity in the first 24–48 hours is one of the strongest signals that YouTube's algorithm will push a video to broader audiences. TubeAnalytics tracks this in real time so you can identify breakout videos quickly.
- How is TubeAnalytics different from YouTube Studio?
- YouTube Studio provides solid baseline analytics for your own channel. TubeAnalytics adds capabilities YouTube Studio doesn't offer: competitor channel tracking, AI thumbnail testing, pre-peak trend discovery, engagement heatmaps, view velocity tracking, multi-channel management, and a 5-year data retention option. See the full comparison table on this page.
