- How do I connect my YouTube channel to TubeAnalytics?
- Connecting your YouTube channel takes less than two minutes. Sign up for a TubeAnalytics account, then click 'Connect Channel' in your dashboard. You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth authorization screen, where you'll grant TubeAnalytics read-only access to your YouTube data. We use YouTube's official Data API v3 — we never store your Google password or login credentials. The connection is strictly read-only: TubeAnalytics can view your analytics data but cannot upload videos, modify your channel settings, or access your email. Once connected, your historical data begins syncing — most channels see up to 90 days of history populate within a few hours. You can connect multiple channels depending on your plan (up to 3 on Professional, 5 on Enterprise) and switch between them instantly from your dashboard. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account security settings or from TubeAnalytics Settings > Connected Channels.
- Is my YouTube data secure?
- Yes. TubeAnalytics is SOC 2 Type II certified — an independent audit standard that verifies our security controls, availability, and data handling practices are consistently followed. All data is encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We never share your analytics with third parties, advertisers, or other users of the platform. Your YouTube credentials are never stored — authentication is handled entirely through Google OAuth, so TubeAnalytics only ever holds a revocable access token. You can disconnect your YouTube channel at any time from Settings > Connected Channels, which immediately revokes our API access. Disconnecting removes your channel from active syncing but retains your historical data for 30 days in case you reconnect. To permanently delete all your data, use the 'Delete Account' option in your account settings.
- What YouTube data can TubeAnalytics access?
- TubeAnalytics accesses your channel through YouTube's official Data API v3 and Analytics API using read-only OAuth scopes. We can access: video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, publish dates), channel statistics (subscriber count, total views, video count), detailed analytics metrics (views, watch time, average view duration, click-through rate, impressions, audience retention curves), audience demographics (age groups, gender, geographic distribution by country and city), traffic sources (YouTube search, suggested videos, external sites, direct), and revenue data (RPM, CPM, estimated earnings — only if your channel is monetized). We cannot access your Google account password, private or unlisted videos you haven't authorized, your YouTube Studio account settings, or your AdSense account directly. All access is governed by Google's API Terms of Service and YouTube's API Services Terms of Service.
- How often is my data updated?
- Most analytics data updates every 24–48 hours, reflecting the inherent processing delay in YouTube's official Analytics API — YouTube itself takes 24–48 hours to finalize metrics like watch time, revenue, and audience demographics, because it performs data validation and spam filtering before making analytics available via the API. Subscriber counts update within a few hours and reflect near-real-time figures. Views within the last 48 hours are shown as estimates, not finalized numbers. On Professional and Enterprise plans, TubeAnalytics provides a near-real-time view count for videos published in the past 48 hours, refreshed hourly. Competitor channel data and trend data both refresh every 24 hours. If you notice a discrepancy between TubeAnalytics and YouTube Studio, wait 48 hours — both read from the same API and the numbers typically converge. You can manually trigger a data refresh from your dashboard at any time.
- Can I track multiple YouTube channels?
- Yes — TubeAnalytics supports multiple YouTube channels under a single account. The number of channels depends on your plan: Starter supports 1 channel, Professional supports up to 3 channels, and Enterprise supports up to 5 channels. Each channel connects via its own Google OAuth authorization — you can be the owner of all channels, or a manager on channels owned by others. Switching between channels takes one click from the channel selector in your dashboard header. You can also view a cross-channel summary that aggregates total views, watch time, and subscriber growth across all your connected channels in a single view. This is useful for creators who run multiple channels in different niches, or for agencies managing channels on behalf of clients. If you need to manage more than 5 channels, contact our sales team — custom Enterprise arrangements are available.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- You can cancel your TubeAnalytics subscription at any time — no cancellation fees, no penalties, no long-term contracts. To cancel: click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the dashboard, go to Settings > Billing, and click 'Cancel Subscription'. You'll see a confirmation screen, and your access continues until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). After the billing period ends, your account enters a read-only state for 30 days, during which you can export your data. Your historical analytics data is retained for 90 days after cancellation in case you choose to reactivate — reactivating restores all your previous channel connections and historical data. There are no early termination fees for annual plans. If you cancel and later resubscribe, your data history and channel connections can be restored.
- Do you offer refunds?
- TubeAnalytics offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for all new subscribers — no questions asked. If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days of your initial subscription, email support [at] tubeanalytics.net with the subject 'Refund Request' and we'll process a full refund within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. The 14-day guarantee applies to your first subscription only — it does not apply to plan upgrades, renewals, or resubscriptions after a prior cancellation. After 14 days, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time, but you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges. The same 14-day guarantee applies to annual plan subscribers, starting from the date of initial purchase. If you experience a billing error — such as being charged after cancellation — contact us and we will issue a full refund regardless of the time elapsed.
- Can I export my analytics data?
- Yes — all TubeAnalytics plans include data export functionality. You can export any report as a CSV file directly from the report view: click the 'Export' button in the top-right corner of any analytics table or chart. CSV exports include all rows in the current report, including your selected date range, metric breakdowns, and any filters applied. You can also bulk-export your full analytics history: navigate to Settings > Data Export to download a complete archive of all your channel data. Professional and Enterprise plan subscribers have access to scheduled exports — configure an automatic export to Google Sheets on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule from Settings > Integrations > Google Sheets. Enterprise subscribers can also access all data programmatically via the TubeAnalytics REST API. There are no limits on how often you can export data on any plan.
Data access is governed by YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API official documentation.
